Macross F 6 and Rajio Macross F〇※△

Macross F - 6
I watched episode 6 today.  I'm impressed.  This is one of the few shounen anime where I actually don't mind the two female leads. This episode especially is one where I actually thought I didn't mind Alto being with Sheryl or possibly choosing Sheryl over Ranka.  Of course, I'm still rooting for Alto x Ranka.  But I really hope that Sheryl stays likeable throughout the series.  Anyways, this has been a really beautiful series so far.

What I love even more than watching Macross F anime is listening to the radio show.  It's really one of the best radio shows out this season.
I can actually listen to this radio over and over again and not get tired of it.
Kamiya Hiroshi (Mikhail) and Nakamura Yuuichi (Alto) are the main hosts and Nakajima Megumi (Ranka) joins them towards the middle of the show for her idol-training.  The corners are all really interesting and I get a lot of good laughs from the yaritori between the three seiyuu.  It's my first time hearing Nakamura as a main host.  He easily gets the girls with his tsundere self-proclaimed kuudere (cooldere) attitude. So cute!  And if you are a Sugita fan, you might wanna listen for their mentions of him.  YOU-Can is even kuudere when it comes to him.
And I really like Nakajima Megumi as a seiyuu and a radio personality.  She has the kind of cuteness that both guys and girls can appreciate.

Another funny thing about this show is the title.  They don't have a set title so every show they substitute what word the F stands for in Macross F.  So far it's been Macross Firebomber, Marcross Futon, Macross Fu-n...Sore de, Macross Fushigi Hakken, and Macross Fuu. Very funny. I also reccommend to listen to the show on niconico because they actually have videos with slideshows of pictures that go along with things that the hosts are saying so it makes listening along while watching the slides even funnier.:p So definitely check it out if you're a Macross F fan.

grrr~ Me is totally envious.. Anime raws I can go by good enough barring historic, technical and the more deep cultural parts..but radio dramas are, as of yet, beyond me. The speed, for one, leaves me in the dust.. T_T

Eeah, she does carry the cutesy thing excellently. I prefer Alto x Sheryl though. And unless Ranka goes through monumental character development and drop most of her cutesy naivete, I'll continue to go for A/S. Though Mikhail/Alto would be BEST IMO

Though, I feel that Ranka will get to be the one with Alto by the end.. It's usually the cute types who get to end up with the guys..

Yeah I think Ranka has a high chance. I just assumed TRIANGULAR was like a song met for her. So I guess that's what makes me think she might win Alto and Sheryl will end up singing "Diamond Crevasse" (It's long long goodbye) to Alto in the end. But really I have no idea about the Macross world so I could be wrong and maybe in the past the original super idols get the guys...^^;

From what I remember on the first Macross, the guy didn't end up with Minmay as they kind of drifted apart more with her growing popularity. He ended up with..Lisa(?), was it? I'm not pretty sure as my memories are sketchy..I last watched it over 10 years ago when I was still in primary school.. But if that was what happened maybe it can happen here too.

Yeah, I can see what you mean about Ranka's naivete...all she has so far is her cuteness and naivete. While Sheryl has more to her than just being an idol.
Haha....Mikhail x Alto would be sweet!^o^ Hey that's the radio show for you!^^ The IDEAL host combi!

Yep, Sheryl sure has a lot of juice in her.. Though Ranka has already begun her development with ep05, I doubt she'd be as mature as Sheryl unless the series stretches several years..

Mikhail x Alto is meant to be!!
