Ichigo to Yume

Just saw Macross F.  I really liked this episode.  It's definitely one of my favorites.  I really like Alto x Sheryl but I have to admit this episode did have me going way to go Ranka.  She actually proved to be quite useful for a change.  I can only imagine how Sheryl must've felt.

I also really liked the fighting scenes in this episode.
And this week's ED animation was really nice.   I like the simplicity of it.

You-kyan, once again, was so cool in this episode.

With the end of this episode and discovering Macross, I wonder if I should go ahead and try and watch the previous Macross series.
Reading people's comments in the community, makes me feel like that might be the only way to fully appreciate Macross Frontier.

Changing the subject a bit,
Wish I could've gotten a ticket to the Ranka and Sheryl live at the end of the month. ><

Kyoukai (Church) Area at Venus Fort where Ranka Lee = Nakajima Megumi's mini live took place.
It was a pretty busy weekend I had.
It started with bowling after work on Friday.  It's been such a long time since I've been out bowling.  It was so much fun!

On Saturday afternoon, I went to the Ranka Lee = Nakajima Megumi mini live at Venus Fort in Odaiba.  I didn't wanna wake up early just to get seiri-ken so we didn't exactly get the best standing seats in the house.  And since I'm a lot tinier than the male fans, I could barely see Megumi without having to jump over their shoulders and heads.  But at least I could still hear her sing.  She's great live!  She sounds just like she does on the cds.  I'm looking forward to the new single.  Btw, you can hear one of her newest songs on Macross F〇※△。

She also did a short free talk. But it was really hard to hear from where I was standing since we were standing just outside of the kyoukai space where the event was being held and they were playing Mariah Carey at the stores around us.  But I did hear her talking about Pro Wrestling again.  Honestly, I dunno how she got so into it but she's always talking about it on the show, too.

After the show ended, we went to the food court on the 3F.  I had a parfait and really good gyoza and buchi (goma dango aka black sesame balls).  The gyoza and buchi were soooo good.  Speaking of buchi, I wish they had ChowKing in Japan or the US for that matter.

Around evening, we headed to Harajuku for starrbeam's bday party at Yoyogi Kouen. It was getting dark but it was a good idea to have the party at night because I could avoid sunburn.:p We played an interesting game of frisbee where if you ended up throwing the frisbee you had to sing a line from a Tenimyu song.  But we soon ran out of Tenimyu songs that we could remember and started singing Johnny's, Broadway and even famous TV theme songs.  It was kinda hard to see the frisbee in the dark tho so often it seemed as tho the frisbee disappeared into thin air before we noticed where it landed. ^^;

Twas a really fun night and I was so exhausted the next day that I slept half the day in.
But I thought frisbee was a good exercise, I should go play in the park more often.

Macross F -7: The Power of Idols

Another cool episode.  I'm still liking Sheryl.  Cool.

Macross F - 6
I watched episode 6 today.  I'm impressed.  This is one of the few shounen anime where I actually don't mind the two female leads. This episode especially is one where I actually thought I didn't mind Alto being with Sheryl or possibly choosing Sheryl over Ranka.  Of course, I'm still rooting for Alto x Ranka.  But I really hope that Sheryl stays likeable throughout the series.  Anyways, this has been a really beautiful series so far. 

Rajio Macross F〇※△
What I love even more than watching Macross F anime is listening to the radio show.  It's really one of the best radio shows out this season.
I can actually listen to this radio over and over again and not get tired of it.
Kamiya Hiroshi (Mikhail) and Nakamura Yuuichi (Alto) are the main hosts and Nakajima Megumi (Ranka) joins them towards the middle of the show for her idol-training.  The corners are all really interesting and I get a lot of good laughs from the yaritori between the three seiyuu.  It's my first time hearing Nakamura as a main host.  He easily gets the girls with his tsundere self-proclaimed kuudere (cooldere) attitude. So cute!  And if you are a Sugita fan, you might wanna listen for their mentions of him.  YOU-Can is even kuudere when it comes to him.
And I really like Nakajima Megumi as a seiyuu and a radio personality.  She has the kind of cuteness that both guys and girls can appreciate.

Another funny thing about this show is the title.  They don't have a set title so every show they substitute what word the F stands for in Macross F.  So far it's been Macross Firebomber, Marcross Futon, Macross Fu-n...Sore de, Macross Fushigi Hakken, and Macross Fuu. Very funny. I also reccommend to listen to the show on niconico because they actually have videos with slideshows of pictures that go along with things that the hosts are saying so it makes listening along while watching the slides even funnier.:p So definitely check it out if you're a Macross F fan.

Today, I had the day off from work which was awesome!  I really can get used to this.
I had a lot of time free..mostly spent sleeping but I did fit in some time to watch some anime.

xxxHOLIC Kei
Last night, I watched xxxHOLIC Kei which I'm glad still has the same feel as the first season.  I was amused by the Oofuri references!  Mihashi!!
Black Mokona was so cute in this ep.  Oh, Watanuki you must learn that other people don't want you to get hurt or make all the sacrifices. His poor eye.
I'm anticipating how they'll do his whole falling out of the school window scene.
I wanna get Suga Shikao's single for the OP.  Glad that he did the theme song again!

Vampire Knight
Wow, I guess I'm so used to the manga that it's kinda weird to see all the characters animated. :p
I'm loving Zero so much!!  I haven't read the first volume in a long time so maybe it's just me, but it seems like the anime is moving fast.
I'm really wondering how far they will go with the story!!  I wanna see Ichiru!!^o^
And speaking of VK, ON/OFF live this Sunday!! Looking forward to it!

Macross Frontier
Not much to say here since I'm still trying to get to know the story.  I remember watching parts of the old series long ago but perhaps I was too young to appreciate it then since I wasn't really into it. Right now, it seems interesting and I'm curious to see the next ep.  So I'll wait in see if it stays interesting enough to stick with. I noticed that the train in the show went from San Francisco to Shibuya and the traveling time prolly was an hour at most I'm guessing.  Wow...wish it were that easy in real life.

Well still quite a few anime I need to check out.  So many good ones came out this season.  How am I gonna have the time to keep up?!
