Takumi-kun series Movie

location: Japan
mood: groggy groggy

Just finished watching the Takumi-kun movie.  Just as I thought, nothing beats the manga.
But it was interesting just to see how they interpreted the manga.
Angry Hatano Wataru was cute and amusing to see in his role.  Just because I know he prolly was pretty nervous doing an onscreen role.

But yappa...watching these movies is kinda uncomfortable for me.
Not only is the acting blah...but well, it's better when I don't know the actors because it's just really awkward seeing ones I know fake kissing and doing all THOSE kind of scenes together.  It just comes off as corny to me.

And nothing agaisnt Tomo but I didn't like his hair in the movie.  I know they were prolly trying to make it look like Takumi's but it wasn't working for him in my opinion.

Keisuke was cute as Gii.  I was surprised he played Gii because I didn't know who he was when I first watched the preview for this movie which was way before I'd ever seen Kiva.  So my image of him is mostly from him playing Nago Keisuke in Kiva.  He actually suited the character of Gii well and prolly of all the actors the closest to being like his character.

Anyway, my recc. is to read the manga or novels or listen to the drama cd, if you really wanna know what the Takumi-kun series is like.

Takumi-kun is LOVE! Gii mo!

Yesterday, I was on the train to Ikebukuro listening to the 10th Anniversary Edition of Bibou no Detail from the Takumi-kun series. I nearly cried on the train! It's about the beginning of the new school year at Takumi and Gii's school. They're no longer roommates anymore. And because Gii is an R.A., Takumi-kun barely has time to see him. Takumi is surprised when people start questioning him on whether something happened btw him and Gii over the summer, or if he notices that Gii's been acting a little strange lately...he's even got a new look!! This is all news to Takumi who hasn't seen Gii in a while and has no idea what everyone's talking about. But because of hearing all these things about him, he begins to miss Gii even more and wants to see him right away! But, he keeps running into other friends and missing Gii. When he finally sees Gii, he almost doesn't recognize him. He's all serious and is thrown off by Gii suddenly wearing glasses.<--He never even knew Gii had bad eyes. For Takumi-kun, this can't be the same Gii that he fell in love with...not the same Gii that cured his people sickness!! Who is this guy? And can he get the real Gii back?

Kyaa! I just love this story. It's all about the storyline and characters here!
Hoshi Souichirou just plays Takumi-kun so well that it's so easy to get caught up in the story. Since I've read up all there is to read of the Takumi-kun tanks, I really wanna catch up on listening to all the drama cds.

Oh yeah, I really wanna listen to the Suwabe x FukuJun dcd called Ambassador wa Yoru ni Sasayaku. Has anyone listened to it yet? It sounds like a good one. ^^

Ok, gotta go! Off to church!
