LOTTE yum!

Ok, so ever since I posted that LJ entry from last month, lots of people around me have been trying to get the information out of me.
But really sorry...couldn't say anything about it until----now.

So enough with the suspense....Check this link out!

More details when I have more time.:p

Do you mean that you're going to be in the commercial? How did you get the job? I want to be in commercials too, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it!
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:12 pm (UTC)
Not going to be..was IN. I did the voiceover for the slogan, "Iki, daijoubu?"
That's why in my previous post I said "I had just come back from speaking strange Japanese." It was because they made me say it in really gaijin-accented Japanese.
How I got the job is a long story. It's better to tell you in person.
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:21 pm (UTC)
LOL That was your voice? No wonder I didn't recognize you-- you speak better than that, lol.

Yes, please tell me how you got it! Maybe you can give me some suggestions on where to go to get a good job in that business. ^^ (well I'm more interested in acting than voice-over, but it might be fun either way).

Anyways, congratulations! How much did they pay you?
Apr. 11th, 2007 12:44 pm (UTC)
Yep! I had a cold and was losing my voice at the time so that didn't help.>< But yep, that was me.

Thanks for the congrats. I'm not quite sure how much I'll get paid yet, tho. I get paid 2 months after the shoot. So I think I get my paycheck in May.:p But I'm pretty sure I won't be making as much as a similar voiceover job would get in the US. Darn Japan and them not paying royalties.>

Ahem, maybe A-chan, you should point out that the weird japanese speaking voice we hear in the CM was yours XDDD
Because frankly I had trouble too in understanding the first time if it wasn't for you mentioning in the other post that it was related to "voice"
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:08 pm (UTC)
Haha...Gomen, just assumed all my RL friends would recognize my voice.:p Glad you figured it out, tho!^o^
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:10 pm (UTC)
uwaaaa CM!?!
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:15 pm (UTC)
First and Last CM ka na? Well, hope it's not my last.
But it was really fun to work on.
Amazing what one can accomplish in 2 mins. of work. :p
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:17 pm (UTC)
^^ There'll be loads of chances next time ;)
yeah XD Managed to figure out that the slogan was you speaking after reading miyu's comment XD
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:30 pm (UTC)
Thanks for saying that.
Oh, I don't blame you for not knowing.:p
I think my FL who don't hear my voice on a regular basis, might not realize...esp. since they prolly wouldn't be expecting to hear me speaking Japanese.
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:20 pm (UTC)

that's so cool!
Apr. 10th, 2007 03:22 pm (UTC)
I got to watch the CM before I recorded and all of us in the studio who were watching it for the first time couldn't help but laugh at how silly it was. :p
Apr. 11th, 2007 11:28 am (UTC)
what an experience it must have been! It's amazing. Are you going to do more in this line?
Apr. 11th, 2007 12:40 pm (UTC)
YES! Well, hopefully.
If the opportunity comes along again...^^;
Apr. 11th, 2007 02:57 pm (UTC)
Good luck for all future endeavours then! I think it's a big step for you! Now, at least, the door is open. :)
Apr. 10th, 2007 04:52 pm (UTC)
*laughs* That CM was amewsing.
So how did you get the gig of doing the voiceover? At home, I didn't watch it with sound so I didn't hear anything, but now I'm at school and after reading the comments, I had to stick my iPod headphones into the PC jack to hear it. X.DDD I would not have recognized, LoL! It was cute though~~ X.D Actually, I don't think I really remember what your voice sounded like. =.x And I haven't yet been able to tell you apart from your sister! Wahhhh~~~ But I only saw you on and off for two weeks so I have an excuse? X.DDD
Apr. 11th, 2007 12:20 pm (UTC)
Haha..that's ok if you can't tell us apart.:p People confuse us alot...including our own father.
I had to audition for the part. Now I know what it's like for a seiyuu to have to wait to see if they pass the audition and to have to record their lines in front of other seiyuu during the audition.><
It was a fun gig. I just wish I didn't have a cold at the time.-.-;
Apr. 11th, 2007 01:53 pm (UTC)
LoL! Your dad too? X.D How funny. <3
You'll have to tell me something that's different about you two physically so I can tell you apart!

Audition eh? Sounds fun! X.D Hey, maybe the cold helped you out a little bit to sound more foreign? =.P
Apr. 10th, 2007 05:47 pm (UTC)
That's so cool! And the CM is really amusing XD
Apr. 11th, 2007 12:22 pm (UTC)
^^ haha yeah..i couldn't help laughing when I first saw it.
Apr. 11th, 2007 01:17 am (UTC)
LOL congrats, on that... I couldn't understand a thing on that page plus no s sound as well and only got the news after reading the comments.
Apr. 11th, 2007 12:25 pm (UTC)
Really? Were you able to see the CM? Sorry to hear you couldn't get any sound.:/
But thanks just the same for the congrats message.^o^
Apr. 11th, 2007 01:35 am (UTC)
Wasn't sure it was you at first! I remember thinking your Japanese sounded more Japanese than that. Then I read the other comments.

Congrats! That was a really silly commercial. :D
Apr. 11th, 2007 12:31 pm (UTC)
Thanks! XD

Yeah, it was crazy. The director specifically asked for a foreigner who could speak Japanese and then asked that I speak Japanese with a very foreign twang. >< Not so hard to do but really funny to hear myself speaking like that. :p But I did my best and did a lot of silly voices during the audition. One thing I regret is that I had a cold so my voice was really nasal at the time. ack..-.-; hazukashii.
