So about a week and a half ago I got my salary for the Japanese CM that I did a voiceover and some English consultation for.  Let's just say, doing voice overs in the US is much more profitable than here in Japan.  I mean at least you can get royalties.  Here you just get paid for that one day on the job, no matter how many times you hear your voice on the air. But to me, that doesn't really matter.  Because, I did the job for fun!  And I love to act so I really enjoyed my time in the studio.

So yeah, just wanted to confirm what I think most people prolly already know.  Seiyuu don't make a lot of money unless I guess you're a major veteran. That's why a lot of them do so much stage work, lives, rajis, or events on the side.:p

In any case, if you missed the link to the CM just let me know.  And if you're in JAPAN and own a vcr or dvd recorder and can record the CM for me, do let me know.  I want to get a copy of it to bring to the US! ^^;

Here you go! In case you're unsure, I'm the one who says the catchphrase "Iki, daijoubu?" at the end.

Yeah, I just had to speak accented Japanese.^^; hazukashikatta but that's what the director wanted.^o^

The only time my English was useful was when the sponsor, Lotte, approached me to check on the accents of the girls on the yacht. They wanted to check if I could understand their English ok. The sponsor was hecka kibishii on that and wanted everything to be absolutely perfect.
