Today, it rained off and on but I was totally in high spirits.
So, I decided to go to karaoke in Shinjuku.  I ended up going there and singing for four hours straight!!^^
And I got a number 2 ranking for Reflection!  Man, I was so close to getting number 1. Just 2 points away!!  I'm going to have to go and try again next time.  Some of the songs I sang today:
1. Reflection (from Mulan Japanese and English versions)
2. Daybreaks Bell by L'arc en Ciel
3. Tip Top Shape by Miyano Mamoru from La Corda
4. Asu e no Melody from La Corda
5. Brand New Breeze from La Corda
6. endscape by UVERWORLD
7. RETSU GO! GUY! from Saint Beast
8. Hajimari no Kaze from Saiunkoku Monogatari
9.Seishun Line from Ookiku Furikabutte
10. Fields of Hope from GSDestiny
11. Reason by Tamaki Nami
12. Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston
13. Boys and Girls from KateKyo!HR

After karaoke, it was off to Harajuku for my French friend's B'day party!
It was at Kakureya which is quite the hidden izakaya.:p
It was really nice and with the room we had, it felt very enkai-ish. There were almost 30 people there.
It was quite a mix of languages, too.   Luckily, I got to try out  the French I minored in in uni.
It's been like 4 years since I've been able to use it so much.  Quite exciting.
I was quite surprised when one of the French ppl thought I was a francophone.  He kept speaking to me in French which was great practice.
It was kinda hard to switch between the 3 languages. I'd sometimes get confused when someone would say something because I wouldn't be sure if they were speaking English, French or Japanese.   And even if they were speaking English, I'd be expecting French or Japanese so I wouldn't understand them right away. ><

I felt bad because the person to the right of me only spoke French and Japanese.
And the person to the left of me only spoke English and Japanese.  And the person to the front of me only spoke French and English.  So no matter what language we spoke, someone was bound to  get lost in convo or feel left out.><  But somehow, we all managed.^o^  And it was quite fun and got to meet alot of new people.  And looks like I've got a new conversation exchange partner!

This outing also reminded me of how enjoyable going out to izakaya is. All you can drink and a good light variety of food.  Yum, curry udon!
And of course no bday would be complete without a cake.  It was so yummy and decorated with heart-shaped strawberries..SO CUTE!
I wanted to post a pic of it but my cell died.:<

OMGosh, look at the time!  I gotta get some sleep.  Tomorrow will be a very busy day.

Yeah, karaoke is addictive! If I had the money and the time, I'd go everyday.
Sure, if I'm still in Japan in 2009 and not in college in the US, I'd love to hang out and show you around.
