Barack the Vote DMV!

Today is the Potomac Primaries (My neck of the woods)! So yep, DC, Maryland and VA get out there and vote for BAMBAM!
In the next few months, my journal will prolly contain quite a few political posts!  Never have I felt so strongly for a candidate as I do for Obama.
If you're American, I don't know how you can not be moved by his speeches.  And even if you aren't American, I'm sure if you hear this guy speak you will be impressed. Finally a leader I can be proud of! If you're state hasn't had their primary or caucaus yet, I urge you to take a look at Obama and his position on issues.  If you want change in Washington, he's the guy!

I like him because when he speaks it feels genuine...compared to his rivals I feel like I can believe him.  He inspires me.  He gives me hope.  And the cynics will say hope is not enough.  That he's just giving us false hope.  But as he once said in one of his more famous speeches, "...In the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope."

That's why I like him, I'm not an american but my major makes me follow the international news.. so.. XD.

I think he resembles Martin Luther King, he has the charisma, the fresh-ness, and the optimism that everyone needs. He brought a new spirit to lots of people (especially youngsters and people with colored skin), I'm positive he will win and make a change over the world.

But still I have some fear that Republicans will win in the end *ouch*

That's so great to hear! I'm always amazed to hear when people from other countries are interested in our election process when there are people in our own nation who aren't as concerned. Even here in Japan, the jr. high students have an interest in this year's candidates. It seems most people are rooting for Obama in Japan, too.

I'm glad that he's such a likeable guy. I think he can help the world to see America in a positive light. When I first heard him speak, I was also reminded of Martin Luther King Jr. He has an amazing eloquence to his speech and everyone is attracted to his charisma. When I look at him, I can't help but think wow I'm watching history in the making.

I could just be optimistic but I definitely think Democrats have a higher chance of winning the White House this year. America is tired of eight years of a Republican White House and the Democrats are showing up to the polls in double the numbers as Republicans this year. I think if Obama is the nominee he'll have a higher chance of winning against McCain. But if Hillary is the nom., I know lots of people who already just don't like her and so wont vote for her. Not to mention, she already says such neg. things about Obama that his supporters might not be inclined to vote for her either.
