Last night, I suddenly felt the urge to listen to some telenovela songs.
Believe it or not, but before I was ever into Korean and Taiwanese dramas, I was really into Mexican/Peruvian/Argentinian telenovelas.
The first telenovela I ever got into was called "Preciosa."  It's about a teenage girl named Preciosa who grew up with her abuelo who worked as a clown in the circus.  She falls in love with handsome rich doctor Luis Fernando who happens to already be engaged with another rich beautiful women.  What Preciosa doesn't know is that she also belongs to a rich family...and her father is also the father of the woman who is engaged to Luis Fernando!!  And the drama ensues.

Of course Mexican dramas, have their overdramatic cheesy moments, but at that time they were refreshing to me compared to my other options on tv.  And I love romance stories so telenovelas were perfect to watch.  Plus, they often had really cool theme songs.

Here's the Preciosa OP.  懐かしい!! Love Preciosa's wings in here.

Yeah, I like Japanese dramas, too.
What have you been watching lately? I'm currently watching Zekkare.

Mexican dramas were really useful to me since there were a lot of Spanish-speaking people in my area. Especially, when I lived in Florida. I love learning foreign languages so I really enjoy watching dramas from different countries, as long as the story is good. And at the time when I was most in to telenovelas, I thought there were alot of interesting plots.

Of course now, my fav. dramas are Korean and Taiwanese dramas.

some taiwanese dramas are good because the filming technique is similar to japanese drama. taiwan is highly influence by japan.
