Obama's Historic Night - YES WE CAN America

I'm watching CNN right now and anticipating Obama's acceptance speech.
This is really an amazing event.
As an American, this is a very important event to me.
Watching the roll call at the DNC the other day, I was so touched I cried.
I was really proud.
I really hope America as a whole can unite if Obama is elected.
Still today is a very historic moment no matter how this election ends.
To see that such a diversity of Americans from various backgrounds, occupations, ethnicities, etc can accept and support an African American candidate and bring him this far...is WOW..SIMPLY AMAZING.  America has come so far....

I'm really proud.

Americans lets bring change. Let's have an America that the world can look up to again.
An America where people can go overseas and not feel that we are looked down upon.
An America with a leader who can unite.

Yes We Can.

as much as I support Obama the "Yes we can" always reminds me of Bob the Builder... ^^;;

Is that a famous saying of Bob the Builder? I haven't seen the show...but I found this on YT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hrz84ud9aM&feature=related

That's cool. So Bob is a supporter of Obama! Yay. Or maybe it's the other way around...
Whatever the case, they're both cute. They have that in common.:p

No, it's not weird. It's great when people can be colorblind about such things.
But nevertheless, his nomination is still a very historic milestone in our history.
Esp. when you think that only 40 years ago, MLK was making his "I have a dream" speech.

Yeah, when you put it that way it really is. I didn't realize that it was only 40 years ago that there was still such a big problem with racism. I've been a bit sheltered, so in America I can't remember ever seeing it. For me, it was like something that happened way in the past that nobody did anymore. It wasn't until I got here that I had any experiences with it at all. It was kind of a big eye-opener. But it's still hard to believe that it exists in America at all anymore. Odd...

I really hope that Obama wins, and he helps to change the world. ^^ And America. In a good way.
