Men's Figure Skating Short Program

I'm watching the men's figure skating short program right now.  It's been really fun to watch. Perhaps, partly, because I don't watch skating competitions here on a regular basis as I did when I lived in the US.

Landing the big jumps are great but I especially love fancy/good footwork and nice and fast spins and of course personality helps!

It was great seeing Plushenko skate again.  It felt kinda nostalgic watching him.
It was cute how he said he wants to be like Dick Button, a two-time Olympic champion.

Florent Amodio, the French skater, impressed me with his program, too for it being his first Olympics.  He's so young and he seems like he's got so much potential.

And Takahashi Daisuke was amazing.  They did a story about the rehab he went through and how he just got back into competition and jumping last year.  After his performance, I'd say he worked really hard on his recovery.

And wow I just learned that Nobunari Oda is the 17th descendant of Nobunaga Oda.  What a cool fact to add to one's bio.
He was ok but I hear long program is his specialty.

Still waiting to see the Americans and Canadian teenager, Patrick Chan.
