Ah, yes. They've become so popular because of Drrr!! It's an actual Ikebukuro vending machine!

Yesterday met up with yukiichigo   who I haven't seen in such a long time.  But whenever we hangout there's always much fun to be had and chaos ensued. ^o^
I wasn't terribly hungry yesterday so we headed off to a cafe in Sunshine City for a small dessert.  I had a Cream Strawberry Latte which was very delicious.  I usually don't like the taste of coffee but when it's in a dessert drink like this I can tolerate it. Especially when there's a lot of milk involved! ^o^ Mine is the tall glass with the straweberries on top and coffee and milk in the middle.

After the cafe, we went to Animate.  Gimme a break, ok.  I haven't been there in at least a month.  I think..  Ok, well I know I haven't bought anything in a  while since I only got my Animate card back last week. :p   Hehe and I hadn't even remembered I'd given it to a friend for an event. Totally didn't realize it was missing for like three months.  Anyhow, at Animate there were actually corners where we were allowed to take pictures.  I'll have to post those up later.  At animate I picked up some Sengoku Basara and DRRR!! goods!!   And aside from maybe the Drrr!! shitajiki which I'll probably just use to admire and add to my shitajiki collection, most of what I bought will be able to serve some sort of function in my life...ie. decorate my keitai and PSP.

It's funny what a small town Tokyo is.  Both yukiichigo and I ran into people we knew and all while we were in animate.  yukiichigo met a classmate and I met kira_shadow  .  What a coinkydinky!!

After Animate, I decided to go ahead and buy the DSLR that I've been wanting.  So we headed to Labi...the small one which I prefer because it's a lot less crowded than the main store and they have different sales sometimes.  I got to buy my Nikon 5000 for 73000 yen which is a lot cheaper than Bic Camera and Yodobashi.   And the guy who was helping me was really nice and gave me great advice on a cheap but fast memory card!^o^  Only thing I haven't bought yet is a camera bag but I may hold off on that till I get to the US or at least until I'm about to go home.  Until then, I'll have to be extra careful carrying it around.

We also went to the game software floor.  My sister bought the new Kiniro no Corda 3 PSP game.  And the three of us played around a while with the PSP go.  And we became intrigued by the advetisement for the new NIER game.  The ad they showed at the store was much more detailed and actually let you hear the seiyuu voices as well but in case you're interested here's a less than 2minute trailer

After that, it was time for dinner.  We were looking for some Russian sushi but well...you know how hard it is to find a good Russian sushi place in Tokyo.  So we settled for ramen.  I got tsukemen with egg which was really yum!!  And we played around with the garlic crusher even though there was really no need for any

Afterwards we parted.  I was so exhausted by the time I got home that I pretty much went straight to bed after talking to my mom a bit on skype.  I'm gonna take another nap after watching Hakuouki and then I'll head off to church and maybe hanami after that!!

Hehe..I first heard about Russian sushi from a show on the Food Network and you can read more about it here:

I've never tried it before. But it's recently become popular amongst fans of the Durarara!! (anime/manga/light novels). In the show there's an African-Russian man named Simon who works at a Russian Sushi restaurant and is always on the streets of Ikebukuro promoting it. It's a popular place amongst the characters of the series.

Watching Durarara seriously makes me wish to back to Japan. I wasn't able to go to Ikebukuro, but I'll definitely go next time.

And Animate~. I still have my card in my wallet, even though it's probably useless now, but I love that store so much. I always went to the one in Sanjou/Teramachi, Kyoto; the one in the town my university was at, and Den Den Town. Ah, natsukashii~.

Yeah the show sure makes Ikebukuro seem even more exciting than it already is!! It should be great for tourism! lol

You should keep your card just in case it is still good!^o^ You never know...

I watched up to 11 today of DRRR (ok, you converted me, I like saying DRRR better now lol). I still can't put my finger on where the Russian sushi is. Maybe we'll just have to make our own (cream cheese sushi...)

I still want to know how many points I have/can use in my animate card... urghh...

Anyway, yesterday was fun! We need to hang out again soon XD

I told you my 言い方 is gonna catch on!! Now go spread it around to all the YEN!!!

YumYum! We'll have our own little Russian sushi cooking session!!^o^

Sorry about your points. You're gonna have to decide on something to buy so you can find out! I'm telling you that Date Masamune made in Miyagi rice looks very very delicious! v And it's not just some random junk so you won't regret buying it later. You can actually use it to live off of.

Yes, definitely I wanna hang out again! And I'll bring my camera next time!! Oh and we should visit some more DRRR!!! sites!! I'm gonna find that trash can Shizuo threw!! bwahahahahaha!!
