Wow, I can't believe it's already been a week since I've returned home.
It's great to be back home with family but of course, I miss life in Tokyo and my friends there.

It's gonna take some time to get readjusted to living back in the US.    I mean I can't believe I haven't lived in my hometown for ten years.  I know this'll date me. But yeah, I went out of state for university and then went to Japan straight out of college.  I literally found out I was moving to Japan, the day after I graduated from college which was in May and was already in Japan by that August.

So I'm suffering from a bit of reverse culture shock now.  I mean lots of things have changed since I went to Japan.  I'm still getting used to picking up my own change when I go to the cash register at my local grocery store.  That's pretty cool how the change just comes out automatically now.

There's so much I gotta do to start a new life here.  Like get a new cellphone I guess.  I wish I could use my Docomo phone.
And I gotta find a job!!  Ugh...but I'm kinda enjoying lazing about during these summer days.  Being back home during the summertime just really reminds me a lot of my childhood and our long summer vacations. Plus, I'm planning on traveling soon, so seems like I should prolly wait till I get back from all my trips before I start job hunting.

Unfortunately, I won't have access to manga magazines as easily as I used to in Japan.  So, I probably won't be able to make anymore summaries for ZE aside from last month's chapter.  I wanna find a way to get my hands on a hard copy of Dear + which comes out every month on the 14th....

I brought back my computer in my suitcase which ended up being overweight and costing me an arm and a leg but at least a leg cheaper than mailing it to myself.  :p  Still, I had to leave my monitor behind.  So I have no monitor!!><  I'm using my mom's computer for now. And I can't believe I'm fighting with my mom for computer time.  She's hooked on farmville.... +___+ I know my sis and I are a bit at fault for suggesting the game to her since we play it on fb, too.  But I only play it when I'm bored and waiting for a dl or something.  My mom gets home from work and the first thing she does is race to her computer to go check on her crops.  And she'll be on farmville, lil farm town, etc until it's time for bed....I'll have to find a way to ween her off the fb games.

Well, I'm off now to go outside and take some pictures.  Yeah, photography is my new hobby and I quite enjoy it.  ^o^
Can't wait till I get a job and make some money to fund my other hobbies!

Welcome back to Maryland! What made you decide to come back to the states?

Good luck finding a job! :) And I'd be interested in seeing some of your pictures

Thanks! Actually I'm back mostly because my parents nagged my sis and I to come back to the States. :p We've been in Japan for so long so they really miss us. But, I don't mind being back as it gives me a chance to try a new career and hopefully take some classes again.:) But of course, I love Japan and can't wait to return. ^.^ Oh, if only I were rich....I'd fly back and forth between Japan and the US.

Wait wait, you're back there for good? .;_; I won't see you??? (This explains why my mail didn't reach you on your phone the other day...)

Yeah. Well, I'm here at least to try out the job situation here and appease my parents. My dad, especially is always nagging us about social security and how we need to start making money in the US so we can get money for retirement and stuff.^^;

Yeah, I canceled my docomo contract the Monday before we left.

Hopefully, once I have a new job and get settled, I'll be able to plan a trip to Japan again. Tho, I'm kinda enjoying being in the States for a while. So weird getting used to speaking English all the time and stopping myself from using Japlish.>< I gotta stop my habit of saying えぇー? whenever someone says something surprising.

Aww, well I hope all goes well for you.

Let me know if you visit!
Haha, I used to say that even before I came to Japan. X.D

Regarding the acquisition of Dear+ every month...this might be a rather obvious suggestion, but have you tried Kinokuniya? They do take subscriptions for magazines and the like. I have a subscription for Comic Box with them so every month, they just notify me to go pick up the new issue. I know they would even mail it to me if I just paid the shipping fee. Here is their website:
